This morning, there’s a fog in my mind
\ncould be a lot of things
\ncan’t seem to find my way through it
\nno lights to speak of. <\/p>\n
Today, there’s a dull ache floating behind my eyes
\nthe aspirin refuses to kick in
\nwonder why I don’t feel bad for making myself
\nretarded last night. <\/p>\n
Now, there’s fewer questions in my mind
\nat least the ones that I can see
\nthat should lift weight off my shoulders
\nbut I crave a fix. <\/p>\n
Last night, the Game returned to me
\nI should feel terrified and angry
\nI only feel sad and resigned
\nI hate winning sometimes. <\/p>\n
Welcome home, bitterness.
\nWelcome home, sadness.
\nWelcome home, loneliness.
\nWelcome home, spite. <\/p>\n
Now, I am more than I ever was before
\nI am more aware of myself
\nMy boundaries are pushed, my limits re-defined
\nI am reborn once again. <\/p>\n
Soon, those that include me in their world
\nwill notice and question
\nWhy do you sneer at the world
\nWhy do you snap at us so often? <\/p>\n
When they ask, I will answer with honesty
\nI am disappointed again
\nI feel shallow, hollow, and flat.
