\nstreams into my ears form the Detroit radio
\nthat I hold in such esteem
\nmuch like I hold my family and friends, and even
\nthe place
\nwhere I come from through I always slip into
\nsuch a black mood when I return here.<\/p>\n
Oh Lord and Lady help me find the strength to
\nsurvive the days between now and when
\nthose words
\ncan burst forth and change everything in an
\ninstant and help me find the strength to not
\npatronize
\nmy family; they just might understand this time.
\nLend me yourself for just this moment.
\nHelp me find the wisdom to do what’s right.<\/p>\n
I hate depression and what it does to me. I hate
\nthe feeling of tears brimming under my contacts.
\nI hate feeling helpless and stuck and isolated and
\nhating
\nmyself and that ever-growing circle of friends
\nand family. Is it being depressed or hating
\nthe depression that makes me hide in sleep?<\/p>\n
I wonder if I’ll ever solve the
\npuzzle
\nof my internal mutually exclusive dichotomies.
\nMy existence on both ends of the spectrum. The wall I
\nfeel between thought and emotion, the hate and love I
\nfeel for myself, the import I place on
\ndreams
