The weekend was fantastic. Lansing feels foreign. I clearly belong in Detroit. Saturday, I didn’t show up to the DEMF until arond 5, but that’s fine, I was taking my time.<\/p>\n
I can’t explain how jarred I was by how wonderful the thunderstorm was and how horrible it was that I couldn’t find a cd to groove to. The thunderstorm followed me all the way from Lansing, as did my dissatisfaction in music.<\/p>\n
Once I got to the fest, I felt completely in my element. My trench coat billowed perfectly in the wind leftover from the storm, and I wandered throughout each area… I can’t even describe it. Saturday was a wonderful night. I got to see tons of people… Sunday was bright, sunny, warm, and did I mention sunny? I’m red. Like a f’tomato. Anyway, Sunday was good too. Dinner with the DetGoth crew at Niki’s Pizza in Greektown was a good time. Wish I could have eaten more of that pizza, it was really good. Katester and her friend (can’t remember her name for the life of me) were very cool. Back at the fest istelf, I got a lot of writing done, and got to talk to two bums… one was more educated in literature than I am, and one… emphatic doesn’t begin to describe the man when you start talking about George Clinton. Heh. Unfortunately, I only got to hear the latter from a distance, but DJ Bone tore that shit up… I started to feel sick, so I headed back to Shelby Twp. Probably let myself get dehydrated.
