Considering, mind you.  Mulling it over.  Swishing it around, so to speak.<\/lj><\/p>\n<p>This got me thinking about other things.  Things like <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/LiteStep\">LiteStep<\/a> from back in the day.  I couldn&#8217;t remember the name of it when I was thinking about it, but <a href=\"http:\/\/neosmart.net\/blog\/archives\/220\">this article<\/a> about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reactos.org\/\">ReactOS<\/a>, linked to by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.slashdot.org\/\">SlashDot<\/a>, had a reference to it in one of the comments.<\/p>\n<p>Good article, by the way.<\/p>\n<p>Now, on the original topic of window managers, I decided to check out <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kde.org\/\">KDE<\/a>.  I was all like, &#8220;Wait, that&#8217;s what <a href=\"http:\/\/www.knoppix.org\/\">Knoppix<\/a> uses!&#8221;  I&#8217;ve used it on my own machines, after being introduced to it at a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.penguicon.org\/\">Penguicon<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I got to wondering, what if the K in <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Knoppix\">Knoppix<\/a> stood for KDE?  I mean, it&#8217;s pronounced as if the K wasn&#8217;t even there, right?  Kind of like the G in Gnome (if you&#8217;ve ever played AD&amp;D, that is).  So, I wonder if there&#8217;s a Gnoppix!  <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Gnoppix\">Well, there is.<\/a>  Not only that, but <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gnoppix.org\/\">Gnoppix<\/a> is based on&#8230; wait for it&#8230; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ubuntu.com\/\">Ubuntu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>What cracks me up is that Gnoppix, Knoppix, and Ubuntu are all derivatives of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.debian.org\/\">Debian<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Well, it cracks ME up.<\/p>\n<p><b>UPDATE<\/b>:  Looks like that article on ReactOS got slashdotted.
