I’ve been sick ever since a few days after came back from New York. I’ve been slowly (really slowly) getting better. Two days ago, I noticed some tightness in my neck, on the left side, and some weird sores on the inside of my mouth. The sores quickly disappeared, but yesterday, I had two full-fledged lumps on my neck, underneath muscle tissue.<\/lj><\/p>\n

Cue the freak-out. Cancer looms large in my family history, and I had lost a few pounds between doctor’s visits, that I hadn’t actively tried to lose. This was strange.<\/p>\n

Had a doctor’s appointment today, and it seems that they’re just infected lymph nodes. Doc things it’s Mono or some other kind of bacterial infection, and I’m on horse-pill antibiotics. Thankfully, and happily, taking antibiotics.<\/p>\n

I have blood-work to schedule for that, and a few other tests, but I’m no longer thinking about my mortality so much that I’m distracting myself with work. The downside is that I’m having a hard time concentrating while at work. Heh. :)<\/p>\n

This, in the end, has turned into a kick in the pants to quit foolin’ around and get stuff done. The timing couldn’t be more perfect.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
