{"id":4001,"date":"2006-12-08T17:32:00","date_gmt":"2006-12-08T22:32:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/davidmcrampton.com\/?p=4001"},"modified":"2021-03-05T12:33:09","modified_gmt":"2021-03-05T17:33:09","slug":"damn-you-might-say-what-a-sweet-earth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/davidmcrampton.com\/?p=4001","title":{"rendered":"Damn, you might say, what a sweet Earth."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m entirely amused that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.endofworld.net\/\">this<\/a> is still being circulated around.<\/p>\n<p>In other amusing news, that <a href=\"http:\/\/childe.livejournal.com\/537481.html\">swollen lymph node<\/a> is still there.  Yes, I&#8217;ve been sick for about two months straight.  Mid-October to early December.  Anyway, I was back at the doc, because the antibiotics didn&#8217;t work, and I had had blood drawn, and she was all like, &#8220;Good news!  You have <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Infectious_mononucleosis\">mono<\/a>!&#8221;  I&#8217;m pretty sure she meant that it was good news that she knew what it was, and it wasn&#8217;t some other crazy white cell issue like HIV.<\/p>\n<p>The punchline&#8230; a week off of work.  As everyone keeps reminding me, and as I&#8217;d be telling them were our positions swapped, health first.<\/p>\n<p>So, I&#8217;m sleeping a lot.  I didn&#8217;t really notice the exhaustion, what with the severe sleep apnea already.  I did notice the dizziness, but I was feeling better.  Really.  Or, uh, not.<\/p>\n<p>I feel a bit guilty about missing work, but not missing <a href=\"http:\/\/davidmcrampton.com\/schedule.html\">signings<\/a> this week.  Sold three books yesterday, and will be out at <a href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/?q=223%20S%20Washington%20Sq%2C%20Lansing%2C%20MI%2048933\">Way Station Books<\/a> tomorrow from 1 to 6.  I wasn&#8217;t ordered not to sit around, relax, and talk books with awesome people.  So, a little bit guilty.<\/p>\n<p>Finished reading <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Book-DNi-Myst\/dp\/078688942X\/sr=8-1\/qid=1165616892\/ref=sr_1_1\/103-1866155-8842250?ie=UTF8&amp;s=books\">Myst: Book of D&#8217;ni<\/a> yesterday.  The ending was way rushed, and left way too many questions for my taste&#8230; questions that the author had raised in the voice of the main character.  Ah, well.  The meat of the book was excellent, and I feel ready to play <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Ubi-Soft-610427-Myst-Exile\/dp\/B000056O4Q\/sr=8-1\/qid=1165617066\/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1\/103-1866155-8842250?ie=UTF8&amp;s=videogames\">Myst III: Exile<\/a> when I get my grubby little paws on it.<\/p>\n<p>I feel pretty rambly today, so you might get more soon. :)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m entirely amused that this is still being circulated around.
