On the subject of letting things go…

I spied a comment from Jamie() in Chris()’s journal. Publically, they’re friends again, it seems.

Am I a hypocrite for letting and back in my life, and to get mad about this? Frustrated? Defeated?

Thoughts of, “Why don’t people learn?” and “She’ll never be taught a lesson if people don’t drop her from their lives for good.” run through my head, emotionally driven, and not making a whole lot of sense, considering my actions.

Why won’t I let them go? Any of them…

Horoscope

TAURUS (April 20-May 20): It’s a perfect time to reinvent the past. You’ll unearth interesting discoveries if you explore the old days with a critical, objective eye. Look for discrepancies between how you remember things and what really happened. Consider the possibility that some of your memories aren’t really your own, but other people’s interpretations that you’ve unconsciously absorbed. By August 15, I hope you’ll be ready to correct the story you tell yourself about your history.

Horoscope

TAURUS (April 20-May 20): I took a long, meandering walk today. After an hour, I found myself in an unfamiliar neighborhood on a wide paved road. In the middle of a long straight stretch there were two street signs next to each other. The one on the right — the direction from which I had come — said “Split Drive.” The one on the left — where I was headed — said “Union Avenue.” There was no intersection here and no bend in the road to mark the change — no apparent distinction at all between Split and Union. Now study all the details I just reported, Taurus. They’re symbols for your life in the coming week.

I just can’t stop!

I am The Hierophant

The Hierophant often represents learning with experts or knowledgeable teachers. This card also stands for institutions and their values. The Hierophant is a symbol of the need to conform to rules or fixed situations. His appearance in a reading can show that you are struggling with a force that is not innovative, free-spirited or individual. Groups can be enriching or stifling, depending on circumstances. Sometimes we need to follow a program or embrace tradition, other times, we need to trust ourselves.

Constitutional amendment.

Congress is about to vote on amending the U.S. Constitution to deny marriage equality to same-sex couples. Never before has our Constitution been amended to take away anyone’s rights. Yet our Senators will vote on this amendment in the next 48 hours. It’s urgent that we speak up now. This hateful divisiveness has no place in America.

Sign it if you agree, don’t if you don’t.
