Always looking to the future.

I had my final exam. I rocked it, except for one part, which I always bomb. Goddamn dates. Anyway, I feel really good about the class, and expect between a 3.0 and a 3.5.

I have brought my zip drive in to work so that I can work on my fiction here. I feel really good about the comments about it so far. In that train of thought, does anyone know of any fiction writing groups in the area? Like, groups that read each others’ works and offer constructive criticism? I know there’s a huge sci-fi writer’s gathering here at MSU every year, but I can’t afford it or the time for it.

Having someone say “this is better than 90% of what I’ve seen on the shelves… reads like professional writing” to my first few pages really made me grin.

Vanilla coke is tasty. The new Georgio’s Pizza kicks arse.

Tomorrow night I’m going to go and check out the local Camarilla LARP, to see how it compares to Fortress. And on Fortress’s skip week, I’m going to check out 13 Past Midnight (re-named Darker Images), and also compare. I have about a gazillion ulterior motives, so if you’re worried, you probably have just cause.

Saturday, I get my brakes fixed, go to Ypsilanti to hang out with , then come back to game at Fortress.

And now that my class is over, I have no excuse for missing my Kung Fu exercises.

Horoscope

TAURUS (April 20-May 20): In my unpublished *Dictionary of the Future,* “codependent bodhisattva” is defined as “an imperfect saint who gives generously for both the best and worst reasons.” Does this remind you of anyone, Taurus? Like maybe yourself? It seems you’ve been extending yourself for people who aren’t making the best use of your gifts. I suggest you find worthier beneficiaries; be more discerning with your helpfulness. Meditate on this Biblical admonition: “Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet.”

Run-down

I left my credit card at Spiral last night. After having to make two trips because left ‘s wallet back at her MSU dorm. I get to go tonight and deal with the hip hop crowd.

So, I didn’t think I was going to have food for today. I was wrong, luckily. The people that our company rents our buildings from had a “customer appreciation picnic”, so there was plenty of food for lunch.

I’ve added my resume to two more job sites. I will fill out the MSU application so that I can turn it in to the Nisbet building after my final exam tomorrow. The is sick, so I’m not gonna bug him about Detroit until he’s feeling better.

Tonight while I’m at work, and later on, I am going to be a studying machine. I will rock out this final.

Moving on is a good thing.

I signed the lease on my new apartment today. Since I can’t afford movers, I may attempt to persuade any of my friends with trucks and/or better knees than mine (most anyone out there) to help me move the really heavy desk that I’ve got. The other furniture is a piece of cake, as long as a truck or van is available. Any movers will be paid in *good quality* beer. If you want to help, let me know, and toss me a brand name, as I’m retarded when it comes to beer.

My parents are holding a couch, assorted drinking glasses and cups, and a TV stand for me. I think I’m going to throw out the three-legged comfy chair. It’s no longer comfy.

My class ends on Thursday with the final. I need to study my ass off this week, then start packing when I have free time.

Spiral tonight. Almost got to go to KMFDM for free, but I don’t want to skip out early on work. Sum’bitch. I will order a Mike’s and some water, and I’ll be good.
