Forgetful me.

I apparently also left a pair of jeans in Lansing. Clearly I should have noticed when everything actually fit into the bag I cram my stuff into.

So, I’m heading back to Lansing tonight, helping ‘s brother with his cable modem *snicker*, and then finding something to do (write maybe?) with the time between that and getting out of work. Oh, and I should probably pick up some food in there somewhere. Heh.

Dense Fog Advisory

The drive in was extremely beautiful in the fog, if slow.

I was a doofus and remembered every single thing that I’d brought to ‘s place this time… except for my security badge. I think I’m going to check to see if it’s cool that I crash there again tonight, so that I can pick up the badge and pay for the movie ticket to see Matrix: Revolution for the second time.

I’ll have to reschedule visiting ‘s new store and let my parents know, of course. Ah, well.

Much up and down this weekend. Just very strange. Not a whole lot of writing in Chapter 8, but I did write. I think I need to re-read some old posts to get a better grip on Madness.

Horoscope

TAURUS (April 20-May 20): “Consumer brands are the new religion,” reports “The Financial Times.” “People turn to them for meaning.” The evidence? Instead of attending church on Sunday, many of the faithful swarm to Ikea. Countless couples exchange their marital vows at Disneyland. Bikers are buried in coffins bearing Harley-Davidson logos. Don’t tell me you haven’t been infected with this faux religion, Taurus; we all have. But I’m happy to announce that it’s a perfect astrological moment for blasphemy and dissent. Renounce your worshipful attachment to brand names and products that are sapping your spiritual juice! Break the hold of your addiction NOW! Just say NO to false gods!

It’s Sunday Morning. Pffft.

Chapter 7 has been typed up and mailed out. Along with every other chapter that I’ve finished so far.

I got a sheet of address labels printed out – half for the TWP and half for the apartment in Ypsi. Yay for transition. ;)

I’m all packed for this weekend. I even shaved my face. Except for the eyebrows, nosehair, and goatee, anyway.

Sunday morning traffic meant that I got to work in an hour. Smooth and speedy trip, though a bit chilly.

Got all my letters sent out yesterday. So, today is balancing the checkbook and then putzing around wishing I had a book to read. :)

I don’t remember the last chapter taking this long.

I got half of Chapter 7 typed in the 45 minutes I had between dinner, talk with Mom, and bed. This chapter just seems heavier.

is right. I don’t like eating at home very much. And I do really need to change that. It’s been easier at my parents, because Mom always has leftovers warmed up for me when I walk in the door. I always have problems in Lansing, and am all like “Let’s go out to get something!”. She said she wanted to break me of that. I think that this is a very good idea.

I have said all of that in the past. I’ve tried before, but I eventually fall off the wagon. Let’s see how well I can stay on. Maybe narrow it down to 1 meal a day out while I’m in Lansing. That would significantly cut down on expenses.

If I were to plan the moving for my actual move-in date (Wednesday, November 26th), should I schedule the actual move for after five so that work peoples can get there? Or should I just say “give me a call when you can help, and I’ll let you know whether to meet me in Shelby or in Ypsi”? I’m thinking about the latter. And I’m totally waffling on the painting idea again. Heh.

The anticipation and excitement about having my own place again is beginning to show its face once more. :)
