Well, everybody knows, but…

I was waiting to make my end of the official announcement until I told my parental units. They check my journal every so often, and I wanted to tell them in person.

So, last night at Taco Loco (YUMMY!) in the TWP, I told my parents that I had proposed to and that we were now engaged. Now, I could hear and squealing in delight when Benny was on the phone with them (and I was several feet away), but my Mom was reserved. She waited until she got back in the car with Dad. Luckily, Dad and I are on good terms again, and he was like, “She did that ‘eeeeeee’ thing that your friends did when she got in the car.” That made me chuckle.

So, I’m moving into my apartment soon, and I’m engaged to the perfect woman for me, and I’m very close to having my benefits kick in at work. I’m working on my novel and actually getting somewhere (and I’ve been told my writing style is improving!). So much good stuff. And, for once, I’m revelling in it instead of waiting for the other shoe (boot) to drop.

Details about Samhain night will be forthcoming. Fear not, loyal readers! ;)

Happy Samhain

Work is cruising along. Of course, now that I’ve said it, it may just grind to a halt. ;)

I’ve left my stuff at home, but I’m still on the fence as far as dressing up for the party tonight. Except for a briefcase, all I would have to procure would be some eyeliner for a tattoo design on the side of my face.

That’s right, you guessed it! Everybody’s favorite multi-genre cheeze character – JACK WEBB!

just might kill me again.

I’d have to part my hair and tuck it behind my ears, since it’s way longer now than it used to be. I’m thinking of getting some white material and attaching it to the back of the trench coat. Then I’d marker it up, in red capital letters, with DECEASED. I already have a pen I could chew on.

Argh, why must the grand ideas come now?! Thank the gods for Meijer’s being right next to work, and two hours between work and the party.

Should I or shouldn’t I?

Bleargh.

The word “Bleargh” sums up how I felt upon getting back to the TWP yesterday. I had dropped off my proof that I no longer owed money to MSU. I had picked up my new address (which will be going out to you peoples soon enough), move-in date (November 26th), and move-in cost amount. That put me on cloud nine.

And then traffic. I-94. I-275. I-696. TRAFFIC TRAFFIC TRAFFIC. This gave me quite a headache. So, I came home and scrounged for dinner. I found quite a few nummy things and snacked on peanuts. More on the peanuts later.

I put laundry in, and plopped down on the couch. There was no staring at a computer screen to type in Chapter 6 for me. My skull would have shattered and my brain would have oozed out of the cracks. So, I watched programs like West Wing. I really, really should watch that show on a regular basis. The dynamics of job vs. ideal vs. politics is just amazing to watch. I should watch it more regularly.

I missed going to the club, but even the music wouldn’t have helped my headache. So, I popped some Advil and went to sleep. Twice now, I’ve snacked on peanuts in the evening and had severe acid reflux in the middle of the night. Clearly peanut oil is not a friend of my stomach.

Anyway, letters have been written today and bills have been paid. It’s a good day so far.

I got to meet ‘s boy and boss. At the same restaurant, no less. Named TOMATO BROTHERS. That’s a goddamn scary name for a pizza place if you ask me.

I also found out that F.R.A.G., a new computer repair/in-store gaming facility, is owned by a good friend of mine from days of yore. So good of a friend that I used to practice with him. You know. Spiritually.

In fact, there was a joke about Eric’s dress back in the day. And now he’s made one of my dreams a reality. *shakes fist* Now I’m going to have to give him my business. *smirk*

I’d bet money that I’ve got wonderful snail mail waiting for me at home. Not only that, but I need to pick out a couple of CD’s to write to and a book to read at work.
