TAURUS (April 20-May 20): You won’t have a nervous breakdown in the coming week, Taurus. What happens may have the intensity of that experience, but in reverse. You can expect something like a relaxing eruption of profound gratification; or a rapid-fire series of insights that lead you to a cathartic integration; or a sudden confluence of several beneficent trends, resulting in an almost shockingly beautiful healing. Think you can handle this much blessing?
CPU could rock a beat.
Ok, there’s a problem. I absolutely adore, love, am addicted to, can’t live without, 24 hour restaurants. Coffee, a coke, some fries, maybe a burger or some cheese stix while my friends and I talk and bullshit and philosophize and write and read and LIVE LIFE. The most important fundage that I need posession of is that to spend at these places. In corporate terminology, it’s time to re-organize my priorities.
I’ve applied at Gumby’s today for a driver job. I also left two copies of my resume with Adecco. Tomorrow I apply at Poppa Leo’s, as well as visit Westaff and ManPower. Oh, and Eubulus Computers wants to talk to me about their sales position. I WILL HAVE A JOB THIS WEEK. THIS WILL BE.
Uhm. Yeah. D-E-S-T-R-O-Y-E-D. Heh.
Nerdcore Hiphop could reign supreme.
I think tonight I’ll go to the MSU Union and work on my book.
Comics
So, I totally dig Tycho’s bedside manner. Also, today’s Something Positive is nothing more than a shout out to
Wait… Saskatoon!
The words will not come this afternoon. Important things to say, get out, air, deal with, and put away. Important things like worrying about lack of money, change coming this week, needing to have faith in myself and in my workings, needing to reinforce workings, needing to trust the universe to dish out the good and the bad, reading the Wheel of Time series, questioning sanity, always questioning, having an amazing anchor and person to share things with, not believing how incredibly attentive and helpful and stable and just exactly what I’ve needed, and of course, not being able to get any of this out until this very moment.
The obligitory “It’s been a while…”
Soul Coughing is good to wake me up when I’ve already been up since 7:30 or so.
“I need time to scrounge the rent/
need time to contemplate the accident./
I need to drag my ass to now/
how did I come to stop here?/
I knew the gas was gone/
but I had to rev the motor.”
I’m in MSU’s Union lab once again to pour out my creative talent (talent? pah) into the beginnings (and maybe more than beginnings) of Chapter 2 of my novel. Starting is always the hardest thing to do, as it says in the introduction. Heh. By the way, I’m at the only Mac in the entire lab that has the professional (optical, real-sized) mouse instead of those little hockey pucks. Dig it.
The word “girlfriend” feels clumsy when rolling off my tounge. Not nearly as descriptive or complete as calling her
Wheel of Time
According to Amazon.com, the next book in the Wheel of Time Series (Crossroads of Twilight) is set for release on January 7, 2003. Too goddamn far away. :)
Horoscope
TAURUS (April 20-May 20): Every relationship has its own unique soul. The way you fit together with another person — whether it’s through romantic intimacy, friendship, or collaborative work — should be allowed to find the idiosyncratic identity that best suits the special chemistry between you. It is therefore a sin to compare any of your partnerships to some supposedly ideal model. Fortunately, you’re in an astrological phase when you have a certain genius about togetherness. May I suggest that you devote the next few weeks to helping all of your important bonds find their deeper meaning?
Tweak
Sometimes, nothing bothers me more than the incompatible timelines in the Transformers universe. Comics lines, TV lines… The War Within, G1, G2, Beast Wars, Beast Wars II, Beast Wars Neo, Beast Machines, Car Robots/Robots in Disguise, Armada… shared characters, names, attitudes… but not a shared universe.
There is no shared history.
