1- Zero Gravity
When NASA first started sending up astronauts, they quickly discovered that ball-point pens would not work in zero gravity. To combat this problem, NASA scientists spent a decade and $12 billion developing a pen that writes in zero gravity, upside-down, on almost any surface including glass and at temperatures ranging from below freezing to over 300 C.
The Russians used a pencil.
Your taxes are due again–enjoy paying them.

2 – Our Constitution
They keep talking about drafting a constitution for Iraq. Why don’t we just give them ours? It was written by a lot of really smart guys, it’s worked for over 200 years, and we’re not using it any more anyway.

3 – Ten Commandments
The real reason that we can’t have the Ten Commandments in a courthouse is that you cannot post “Thou Shalt Not Steal,” “Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery,” and “Thou Shall Not Lie” in a building full of lawyers, judges, and politicians. It creates a hostile work environment.

Way too easy.

So, this camera in my phone thing is going to get out of hand quickly. I’ve figured out how to take some pretty high-quality pics with this thing. It’s a 1.3 megapixel camera, and will take pics at up to 1280×1024. I can even flip the camera closed, and use the mini-window as a viewfinder to take good pictures of myself.

I really like this one, with the way the lighting behind me turned out. I’m studying, with hat and headphones on, at the MSU Main Library.

I have actually scheduled writery stuff for this weekend. I’m meeting with Bill and one of his friends, and giving this Writer’s Group thing another chance. Bill is one of those “It’s either literature or it’s crap.” kind of writers. This didn’t work out too well when it was me, him, and . I think that me not being the primary organizer might make this better.

Now I have to find something short enough to take in. Maybe something from my publishing class during my first semester back.

If nothing else, there will be as much Chinese food as I can eat.

I could have done better on my 日本語 test today, but after my cram session yesterday, I have more motivation to simply do things before they’re due. Doing that is why I’m usually so good at these tests.

Other than that, I’ve got the Mage LARP and studying this weekend. comes back into town at 6:05 AM on Sunday morning. I wonder if she’s found someone to pick her and up yet. If not, I should probably bite the bullet and get my ass up at 5 in the morning on the weekend. I wonder if the airport will have an open coffee shop.

When I actually get around to it, I’ll likely be testing my professional web page on my MSU space: http://www.msu.edu/~crampto3/ Right now, that just forwards to my ofDoom webspace. So many changes on levels that I never expected.

Horoscope

TAURUS (April 20-May 20): The Season of Dreams begins now. While you’re sleeping, you’ll be working harder than usual as you dive deeper into your subconscious mind in quest of mythic stories that can transform your waking life. Here’s a list of some of the dream themes you might encounter, along with possible interpretations. Dreams of the circus coming to town mean that maybe you should indulge a barely acknowledged need to do something that seems out of character. Dreams of having a picnic in a tree house may mean you’d benefit from not having your feet planted so firmly on the ground. Dreams of doing something unethical that makes everyone mad mean that you should explore ethical, constructive ways to express your rebellious urges. Dreams of fighting a king or queen who stole money from you might mean you should fight back against an authority that ripped you off.

Quotes after V

“You ever look at a guy walking down the street, and wonder if that’s you from the future?”

Me: “I’ll have this model of the capitol building, and be all like, this is my platform, and pull out a little remote control with a button. I’ll hit the button..”
:”And then the model will be fine, but there’ll be this big boom from far away!”
Me: “And I’ll be like, Uuuh, so! Platform! *makes running motions*”

V for Vendetta was amazing. I highly recommend it.
