I am having trouble understanding this whole having-hair-on-the-sides-and-back-of-my-head thing. Can someone explain how it’s not annoying? Heh.

For the love of all that is TECHNOLOGICALLY HOLY, why won’t Adium copy to a USB jump drive or the MSU file server space?!
It is the most versatile messaging client in existence, and DAMNIT, I want to be able to run it from the lab computers without having to re-enter ALL of my IM account info over and over and over again.
OS X 10.3.7 says that one file cannot copy to the USB jump drive. Then it says that one of the file names is too long to be copied onto my MSU AFS space.
I WILL TEAR OUT SOMEONE’S THROAT WITH MY TEETH!

I dreamed that I got my powerbook, only the keyboard was filled with unlabeled keys that were shaped like tiny waning-moon shaped slices. In the dream, I went insane trying to accurately and repeatedly type out a single sentence.
On a possibly related note, I am continually frustrated by a lack of commitment when it comes to tabletop players, despite their ability to roleplay well. This makes me loathe to ask people to leave the game.
The new chapter of the Mage LARP, which is centered around Hollow Ones, promises to be sweet.
More likely after I’ve successfully woken up.
Gearing up.
The Freshmen have returned. MSU’s campus is insane. The buses are actually populated. All the bus routes are back in full swing.
And I have a Japanese book. *hop* I’m far too excited over taking Japanese again. Big time. :)
I don’t know if I mentioned it, but I’m officially no longer employed at MSU’s Cowles House. They thanked me for getting me over the hump, said that they couldn’t justify having a computer tech with no computer work to do, and said that it was apparent to them that I was a bit frustrated with doing non-computer work. I smiled, shook Steve’s hand, and chalked it up as a good experience. Thank you,
The timing is eerie, as work with Smart Networks is increasing. As a result, so are the paychecks! Heh. Training is in my near future, as is writing a procedure manual. Anybody have any examples they want to send me so I can get a general idea of what I should be writing? I may have my Voyager.net and Comcast ones around, so that I have one example of what to do, and one example of what not to do. ;)
Of course, if there is need to write the procedure manual, that can only mean that there will be someone to read it. Hee hee!
I’m looking forward to a weekend full of gaming before I dive headfirst back into academia.
Horoscope
TAURUS (April 20-May 20): Surveys show that many parents in England cut away the crusts before serving bread to their children. Responding to this need, a baking company has begun marketing bread without crusts. I mention this, Taurus, because pre-made crustless bread is a good metaphor for the experiences you’ll soon be offered in abundance: soft, spongy sweetness that you can freely access without having to break through any hard outer layers. I won’t be surprised if you get tired of it after a while, though, and start seeking out adventures with more crunch. But in the short run you might find it very relaxing.
Yay for connection.
It looks like our net connection is now much more stable. Server administration from home is a go.

And, man, I just couldn’t declare the flist a loss and start over. I’m caught up to 120 entries back. Heheheheh.
