TAURUS (April 20-May 20): My investigation of recent Taurean behavior reveals that you have committed two spankable offenses. I will not, however, authorize any enforcers to turn you over their knees and apply their palms forcefully to your buttocks — not yet, anyway. First I want to give you a chance to atone, by filling in the gaps in your understanding and ripening the attitudes that led to your deviation from the righteous path. Or would you prefer to avoid the hard work of making amends and instead just accept a spanking?

I wonder when the Daylight Savings time change is going to happen.

It looks like I’ve already been slated to start my new schedule next week, instead of at my 90 days. Maybe I missed some info on my Monday and Tuesday days off. That means that I’ve got… 7 days straight of work until my next day off. And it also means that I’ll start running into thicker traffic again. Oh boy. Nine to Six, here I come.

Monday involved a lot of rushing and waiting. now has a SS card and a new driver’s license coming in the mail. She can work at her new jeorb! Yay! :) I have a credit/rental report being mailed to the Twp. so that I can start challenging the ridiculousness that is currently there. I’ve called in the speeding ticket, and now know how much the damage is. Right around what I expected.

makes a mean chili, and both and I agree.

Second car payment gets payed today. Another one on time. We get three paychecks this month, so I’m going to pay the next one early, so I can get in the habit of paying the car payment in the middle of the month and rent at the end of the month. Locked into a pattern is a good idea for me.

This weekend (Monday and Tuesday are my days off) was fantastic. Just what I needed. More elaboration when my mind stops yelling at me that I’m up too early, and I’ve been up for five hours.

At least I’m caught up on LJ. :)

Why does your mom keep giving me coupons?

I’m looking forward to noon, when I can munch on the leftover pizza that I brought in for lunch.
I’m looking forward to five, when I can head out to Lansing to see .
I’m looking forward to Monday and Tuesday, when I will get a lot of writing done.
I’m looking forward to Friday, when I get paid.

Can you tell that today is my Friday? :)

I was ejected from City Club after 4 songs into my second set, around 1:50am.

I was told by Sybil Carter, the manager of the club, that there was a single (1) complaint of “too much techno.” She decided at that point that I was a threat to the stability of the dance floor regardless to the fact that the dancefloor was full previous to and during the song ‘Lonely’ by Praga Kahn. She decided to use the head of security to inform my DJ partner I was to be removed because of this one complaint, regardless of the impact upon him or the patrons.

This as a practice, in my view, is unaccecptabe from a managerial position, and from the standpont of a person who is hired to entertain the patrons of an estabilishment. It was my position that as an employee at the City Club , the professonal thing to do was to provide two (2) weeks notice and give the management time to find an adequate replacement. I had given that notice and time, and apparently the management did not believe I should remain as an entertainer at the club any longer.

I encourage you, the patron of City Club, to express a displeasure in the management practice in discarding an entertainment provider at will based upon a single complant. This practice, in my opinion, is very unprofessional and deserves to be rallied against.

As a result, my farewell set as scheduled next Friday will not take place. I hope you will all be able to join me this upcoming Saturday, October 4, 2003, at Luna in Royal Oak, for my introductory night as the weekly resident DJ. I guarantee it will be a night to remember.

I hope you will also take the time to farewell DJ Bill Paskins tonight, September 27, 2003, who will be presenting his farewell set at Luna as a resident DJ. He plans to spend more time focusing on his record store, East Alley Records in downtown Rochester, Michigan.

Take care of each other, and I’ll see you at Luna next Saturday!
