I got an email today from my direct boss (the one I like) thanking me for letting the integration of IT and Help Desk go smoothly. And for all the work I’ve done in that period. He says he really appreciates the effort, and I have no reason to believe that he doesn’t.

He knows I hate this work. He knows how much I want to leave.

It helps to know that he realizes what working this job is doing to me.

Oh, and my car repair is a fair price. I just need to wait until my tax check gets here, so I can cash it and pay for the repair. The car is leaking both inside and outside of the engine. Since the repair is eating all but 60 dollars of the tax return, I’m going to have to wait until March for my bonus to get my new computer. That kinda pisses me off, but what can I do.

I’m entirely taken with this car. A year from now, I’ll be able to afford a new car payment. And full coverage insurance. Especially with being 25 years old, and that nice drop that happens there. (Come to me quickly, month of May!) I want the All Wheel Drive model for the winter. Black exterior, of course. I will have to test drive one of these, to make sure that the sound system is all it’s hyped up to be. Can’t have a shitty sound system in a brand new car.

I sincerely wish Dell would use AMD chips again. The processors they offer now blow in comparison.

Somehow, I still seem to be making progress.
