So, some of my friends are leaving LiveJournal. They’ve established blogs on their own sites, with RSS feeds. Many of the blogs that I read daily are actually RSS feeds to my LJ friends’ page. But then again, many of my friends post to their LJ’s exclusively.
And I like to read a lot of people. I have 140 in my friends’ list.
With the likelihood that I will soon be a famous author, *crosses fingers* I’m thinking of moving my blog off of LJ, and setting up an RSS feed for it. I don’t want to hit LJ’s servers enough to qualify as a corporate user, if that definition even still exists. I’d have to move my pics off, as well, but that’s what Album is for. Or so
Should I stop reading my friends’ page? Should I keep the LJ account for the friends’ page, and let RSS do the work for me? Should I keep it on LJ, and just plunk it into my professional-writery-home-page-thingerdoo?
So, yeah. Blog concerns.
