October 31, 2006 – Captain’s Log

Today, and I celebrated a small, but fun anniversary. I surprised her with a trip out to Horrock’s to get some seeds to plan her garden for the spring. Unfortunately, the plant-for-Fall ones are gone, and the plant-for-Spring ones are not in yet. We decided on a replacement trip to Game Hits to pick up a used video game for her to play. She picked Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for our N64.

It’s the exact cart that I sold back to them when I sold my old N64. Still had mine and ‘s savegames on it. At least I can pick up where I left off. :)

We also had breakfast at Fleetwood, and enjoyed the hell out of some Hippie Hash. I know you’re jealous, .

We went home and spent some time with the puppy, which was good, and she fully hooked herself on Ocarina.

Work is over in an hour and a half, and I’m still a bit sick, so it’s not as fun as it could be.

We’re going to head to Beal Gardens after our shift, and, like I always do, I wonder if I’ll run into anyone I know there.

After midnight, it’s ON. That’s right. IT’S ON! National Novel Writing Month. I’m going to start The Glass Crown tonight, and use the fancy notebook that gave me. I’ve been saving it for a special occasion, and this certainly qualifies. :)

Like I told earlier, today is my day.
