Slacking and Accomplished

Called back the guy from GarbCo/7-Eleven. Let him know that I’m brushing up on SQL.

Ripping the Gorillaz CD.

Welcomed to LiveJournal. Now he just needs to make a post. He’s family. >:)

I’m going to write tonight.

Procrastination

Me? Procrastinate? Never!

I’m not motivated to do work that I don’t like. Simple as that, I suppose. Good thing I’ve got a sale from one of my two recent quotes.

Last night, in my dreams, I was commanding armies and defeating the enemy. Parts of the armies had mystical elements… I don’t remember exactly what, but I got the Asha’man vibe hardcore.

It’s good to know that I’m not the only one that gets frustrated to the point of saying “fuck it” when Cho Cho decides to push. I had no answer when she asked me, “Doesn’t he realize that he’s ruining everything?” On that note, everyone that’s in the Mage game that hasn’t talked to me yet today, drop me a line. As far as the game goes, it’s important.

Feelings of Futility amidst Areas of Accomplishment

I’m moving along in my tasks. Very few get it, and that’s fine. I desperately hope, at the same time as I know without reservation, that I’m being there in a good way for .

I think, for dinner, I’m going to make that mushroom noodle dish again. But this time, more mushrooms, and more garlic! Forays into vegetarian cuisine are scary. ;)

Senator Stabenow/Senator Levin/Congressman Rogers,

Like many Americans, I hold a strong opinion on the possible future war with Iraq. I have two questions for you.

Firstly, what are the most effective means at my disposal to make my opinions known about my stance on the possible war, and on any other political issue, for that matter? E-mailing or writing my representatives, no offense, usually only produces a form-letter response. That sort of dismissal isn’t what I’m looking for when it comes to voicing my opinion as an American.

Secondly, I’m interested in your opinion on the possible war. Straight and to the point is preferred. Don’t worry about offending me with your response, I respect and appreciate direct honesty more than someone pandering to my opinion.

With fingers crossed,
Dave Crampton

Politics – Skip if you’re not up for thinking.

This is a good post about the space program after the recent tragedy.

My political viewpoints on war are muddled. My political viewpoints in general are muddled. This war is happening for the wrong reasons. The government doesn’t listen to its people. It’s people have stopped telling it what they want because they’re sure they don’t matter. This frees the government to not listen, thus verifying the people that won’t speak. I can see no fix for this situation other than infiltration of the government by people that see things similarly.

If you don’t vote, fuck you. You have no right to bitch. The system is in place, with avenues to use to make your complaints known. But, even when I use those avenues, I get form letter responses instead of honest replies with a viewpoint.

So, here is what I think I’m going to do. I’m going to e-mail each of my national representatives and ask them what they think I can do to make my opinion about the war (or any other political stance, for that matter) known in an effective manner. I think I’ll post the responses here, if and when I get them.

BTW, I’m up for any constructive suggestions that you might have.

We have taste bud activity, sir!

I must be getting better. I can taste the “boost your immune system” tea that I can’t spell. And it’s actually pretty tasty.

I’m burning a candle, too. It worked last time. Problem was I stopped. ;)

I’m trying to decide if I should sell my old PC parts to Good Deals (if they’ll take them) or keep them, buy a small monitor (I’m dealing with a 15″ screen on my iMac after being spoiled with the 21″, I can deal with a small PC monitor) and a hard drive from either a friend or the aforementioned Good Deals. What would you need a PC for, you ask?

And if I ever get around to upgrading to OS X Jaguar on my iMac, I can network share the USB printer, even to Windows.

And let me tell you, taking a 350 level Religious Studies class entitled Buddhism in South Asia did not imply a class with the content of Introduction to Buddhism. Argh. Well, at least I’m done with this horrifyingly simple book by Robert Lester.

Mmmmmm, tea.

Sparrow Family Health Center

I can’t make a doctor’s appointment until Monday because I called five minutes after the office closed, at 4:30 PM.

Hours from 9 AM to 11:30 AM, then 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM… isn’t the medical profession a service industry?
