AIM has once again blocked Trillian users from using their network. Again. Luckily for Mac users, Fire seems to be able to connect without difficulty.

I am hanging out with a certain graduate student Saturday night, eating Chinese food, and watching the last episode of Star Trek: Deep Space 9.

I’m waiting, rather impatiently, for a response from Dr. Wolff.

This is a letter I just sent to the Associate Dean of Computer Science at MSU:

Dr. Wolff,

My name is Dave Crampton and I am a past student at MSU. Since leaving MSU about two and a half years ago, I’ve been working in the field, and am now looking to return to MSU and finish my education. There are a few things about my standings as a student when I left that would limit my ability to return and gain the degree I’m after, which is why I’ve been referred to you.

I’m interested in obtaining a Computer Science degree. However, when I left MSU, my GPA was about 2.0, I hadn’t taken PHY 183, I was a Junior as far as credits were concerned, and my repeat credits were nearly maxed out.

If possible, I would like to return to MSU part-time, and in the College of Engineering on a probationary basis. I would take one or two classes a semester, and if I received anything lower than a 3.0, for example, I would be refused admittance to the College of Engineering.

Mathematically, I would need higher than a 3.0 in most of those classes to raise my 2.0 GPA to the neccessary 3.0 to officially enter the College of Engineering. If this is at all possible, I would be willing to start with the class I had the most trouble with and had to repeat the most times, PHY 183.

Please let me know what you think of this, and if this is even possible. Thanks for your time.

The move to D-town doesn’t appear to be happening. So I’m taking a secondary option. I am not sitting on my ass any more.

Crack Dealer

You know, my dad once told me that he never really worried about me standing in a dark alley selling drugs… he worried about me standing in a dark alley selling pirated software. Needless to say, I laughed my arse off this morning when I read this comic.

This one goes out to .

I just rubbed moisturizer on my elbows. You win. I just happened to have some left over from that time you gave me a bottle.

“Everybody supernova!” – Presidents of the USA

Tonight, I am going to Spiral, and the new GothScape. Here’s the info:

Goth Odyssey
DJ Deatheater, DJ Hazel, and DJ Deathskiss
goth/industrial/EBM/darkwave/synthpop/ethereal
requests always welcome

goth/fetish/pvc/black/romantic/leather attire respectfully requested

First off, there aren’t that many pretentious goths in the Lansing, MI area. There just aren’t. Secondly, the first and last DJ names are retarded. They’ve probably got ferrets on leashes and are German nihlists. And how in the WORLD can you take a night with a regular showing of FIVE TO TEN PEOPLE and request a certain type of clothing, when people are ALREADY showing up in that sort of stuff ANYWAY?!

Ok, now with the rant, done, I’m going to it to check it out. So far, I’ve wrangled a few Green Spiral peoples, as well as , , and some friends from back in the day. I’m hoping the music was as good as last Tuesday’s was, because the pretention level on the flyer is f’amazing.

Undecided as to my inebriation level tonight.

Addendum: is rumored to be attending as well. :)

Groovin’.

Randomness for sure. The In Perpetual Motion show was a blast last night, I had a great time. I ended up crashing on the love seat (which didn’t earn many protests from my knee, surprisingly enough) while there were still like three or four people here, and was DJ’ing. Unbeknownst to me, Leah, the infamous sexy voice of IPM, shook her breasts about an inch and a half to two inches from my face. I always sleep through the best stuff. Not sure how happy I am about the inebriation level I was at, but I had a good time nonetheless.

Beh. Pining blows.

is back from Las Vegas, I really need to hang out with him, like the old days. We haven’t done that in a while… the trip from Lansing to drop him off in his hometown was the closest we’ve been to that kind of discussion, and that was pretty much me asking how things were going in his life.

Oh, and my car is dead, until I can get it into the shop. No coolant into the engine. But, luckily enough, my State tax return check came in yesterday, so I’m hoping for the Federal one on Monday. They were both tele-filed, so they should both be lickety-split.

Did I mention that pining sucks?

Hrm. Maybe I should be a teacher.

Much accomplished yesterday. Ok, let’s make a list for today:

  • Vacuum room.
  • Send out 3 more resumes.
  • Pay rent.
  • Begin scanning and uploading for online photo album.

So, I almost hit other cars twice last night in the snow. So very, very slippery. I’ve got the brake system of my current car figured out now… and the strangeness of front wheel drive in winter. Heh. I do have to say that it rocks… rear-wheel drive may have been cool, but I was able to get out of my parking lot without having to get a shovel this morning. Way cool. I left a pattern of rust and dirt on the snow behind me when I backed up and it rubbed against the underside of my car. Nifty! Also, while brushing off my car, my hair was still wet, so my ponytail froze solid. Hee hee.

45 minutes till my lunch break, and my stomach is growling. Thank goodness for the pseudo-food and nectar of the gods, Mountain Dew.
