Life.

So, this morning, I was good and calm. And on the way in to work…. road rage. I got angry, without any reason and beyond measure. And it lasted for a while into my shift. Talking to my Sifu, and trying a meditation that he gave me helped. This heat is making everything worse. I hate the heat. I hate feeling the sweat on my skin. It’s sticky, and leaves a film… makes me want to peel off my skin.

Well, I calmed down… I’ve done a lot here at work. I’ve finished the MSU application, printing out and copying my resume (they need two copies, and I want it to be double-sided), and I’ve put it all in a nice, neat manilla folder. I’m going to turn it into the Nisbet building before work tomorrow.

I am poor again. Oh, well. I’m used to this. I am, however, greatly enjoying the new brakes on my car.

Tonight: Laundry. During that, I will cook dinner (most likely some chicken) and do whatever else. I dunno.

“BRAWR”

I can’t make this panic go away. It’s still there, eating at the edges of my universe, happily nibbling away at everything that I’ve built.

I tried to do my Kung Fu exercises and panicked as soon as I started to sweat.

I found breif respite in the coffee shop by immersing myself in a Mage book. Earlier, I found solace in some taped Star Trek episodes.

Tweaked just isn’t the word.

Rate increase.

First class snail mail goes from 34 cents to 37 cents tomorrow.
Post card snail mail goes from 21 cents to 23 cents tomorrow.

I can deal with that. Even with the amount of snail mail that I send out now, I can understand how they’ve been hit with email and other forms of instant communication. I think that’s why I’ll always thank for getting me into sending snail mail. It just feels different to get a letter or post card in the mail in amongst the bills.

I’ve had a great weekend, but am currently in the process of tweaking out. My brain is sending me panic signals, and there’s nothing to panic about. I’ll post about the weekend later.

“That shit’s clownin’, dog, how fucked up is you?”

This morning, I was riding on cloud nine.
By noon, 12:30, I was pissed off and felt like I was pulled in 80 directions at once.
Now, I’m calm.

You know, when iMacs first came out back in the day, I made fun of a good friend of mine constantly for its shape and how it looked. Now I own one. Granted, the bondhi color sucked, and the newer ones were better-colored, had better keyboards, and better mice… but damn. I think OS X makes all the difference in the world. OS 9 just *feels* clunky compared to OS X.

Kind of like how Windows feels compared to Linux. Think I may buy a network card this weekend sometime. I want to get that fucker updated.

I plan on overdosing on LARP this weekend. I dare someone to make a comment on LARPers. Bring it.

Argh, moods, emotiions, asthetics, lines, curves, reflections of light, clouds of shadow…

Fuck it, Dude. Let’s go bowling.

Always looking to the future.

I had my final exam. I rocked it, except for one part, which I always bomb. Goddamn dates. Anyway, I feel really good about the class, and expect between a 3.0 and a 3.5.

I have brought my zip drive in to work so that I can work on my fiction here. I feel really good about the comments about it so far. In that train of thought, does anyone know of any fiction writing groups in the area? Like, groups that read each others’ works and offer constructive criticism? I know there’s a huge sci-fi writer’s gathering here at MSU every year, but I can’t afford it or the time for it.

Having someone say “this is better than 90% of what I’ve seen on the shelves… reads like professional writing” to my first few pages really made me grin.

Vanilla coke is tasty. The new Georgio’s Pizza kicks arse.

Tomorrow night I’m going to go and check out the local Camarilla LARP, to see how it compares to Fortress. And on Fortress’s skip week, I’m going to check out 13 Past Midnight (re-named Darker Images), and also compare. I have about a gazillion ulterior motives, so if you’re worried, you probably have just cause.

Saturday, I get my brakes fixed, go to Ypsilanti to hang out with , then come back to game at Fortress.

And now that my class is over, I have no excuse for missing my Kung Fu exercises.
