Renting TV shows on DVD is strangely cool…

Stargate: SG-1, Smallville, and the 4400. Living with story addicts like myself brings interesting benefits in the realm of sucking away time. :)

The signing went pretty well, and I’m learning to greet everyone as they come in the door. Like said, she’s had more retail experience than I have, so it’s much easier for her. Since the books arrived at Everybody Reads, 6 have sold. I only know who three of them are, so it’s possible that some are selling to people that are just strolling through. How cool is that?

Also, I signed all of the stock at Everybody Reads, and we’re thinking of setting them up as the store at which to get signed copies of The Remembrance. Of course, I’m still happy to personalize them if you run into me on the street or wherever. :)

Right now, dishes are soaking in the sink, and I’m about to go and check to see if the mail has come yet. I’m still biting my nails for the Myst book to arrive.

Update: Mail doesn’t come on Sunday. Duhr.

To Post or not To Post

So, after completing another chapter of the Steven comic book, as far as the writing goes, I had a thought.

I’m a writer. I want people to be interested in my writing, yes? There’s a free teaser available for the novel, and we used that to generate interest in the book itself and in the signings.

So, why don’t I do something similar, here in my blog, with the comic? I leave it to you to decide. :)

TAURUS (April 20-May 20): “Before you can do something you must first be something,” wrote Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe. That’s advice we can all profit from. Most of us have been guilty of trying to skips steps in reaching our goals, hoping to pull off feats we have not yet developed sufficient strength of character to master. For example, there’s no way I could have been a good writer at age 19, since I had so little life experience to draw on, hadn’t learned how to cultivate my perceptiveness, and didn’t have the discipline to sit down and write every day. In the coming week, Taurus, think about whether there’s a dream you cherish but have not yet earned the right to achieve. Then decide what you’ll have to do to become more worthy.

Oh, yeah!

A couple of bits of good news that I forgot to mention here.

  • The Remembrance is on a shelf in a bookstore. Everybody Reads Books & Stuff has quite a few copies of my novel on its shelf. They’re in preparation for the signing at their grand opening (June 17th, I’ll be signing from 8PM to 10PM), but they’re available for purchase now, if you can’t make it to the signing.
  • I have a job interview. Tuesday at 5PM for that LiquidWeb position. Wish me luck. :)
