Morning reading.

There’s this and this and this about religion. All of these carry strong threads that I agree with. Nope, not gonna tell which are which. :)

I’ve finished a bowl of Apple Cinnamon Cheerios and am preparing my email to my boss, which will give my two weeks’ notice. I’ll give him the opportunity to keep me on as a web monkey and security tech, but my hopes of him accepting this are not exactly high. I’d like to do that for Eubulus, but I don’t think he’ll bite. *SHRUG* Most likely I won’t be working for them by the end of the day. Bye bye Titanium.

Class today, after a week off. We’ll probably get our papers back and our midterm results. Looking forward to it.

Moving forward professionally and spiritually. Yes, , a ritual sounds good right about now.

Business meeting

Business meeting scheduled for tomorrow.

First Mage game went really well. I hope my players are patient enough for me to bring them together with something more real that may take more time to develop. “You all meet in a bar” is just too cheeze for me.

I still don’t want to think about tomorrow and Eubulus.

Quest for the Utter Geekdom

I found out yesterday that Mac OS 10.x is not designed to share its printers to Windows. So, full Samba integration is lacking. Looks like I’m going to have to hit MSU Salvage/Surplus on Wednesday or Friday to pick up an old printer server module. I WILL network that printer, damnit! :)

Thank the gods that the printer has both USB and Parallel connections on the back.

Posted to the Camarilla fan club’s Malkavian list:

An 80’s television sitting in the darkness. UHF and VHF dials. Static on the screen. Eshshshshshshsh sound. The staic flows away as scenes from the Transformers movie rise from the television. The scenes are choppy and disembodied, as if thought and movement are difficult. Starscream picks a broken Megatron up and pushes him out of the airlock of AstroTrain.

However, it is not Megatron’s voice that speaks, it is the voice of Ishmael, strained and desperate: “…. I still function ….”

The scenes are swallowed by the static; the TV fades into the darkness.

Stuff

Last night, the /absolute rightness/ feeling went away and has yet to return.

Our logo is schweet as hell.

Off to work (not /real/ work) to plan the MABA thing for tomorrow. Maybe I can get some ideas from the mac techs there about sharing my USB printer to my Windows 98 SE box. Or hooking it up to the Windows box and seeing it from the iMac.

This song fits me today.

Food is almost done.

Cooking for myself again. Yeah, it comes in spurts. Thanks to for urging me back this time. I really dig my stir fry and sticky rice combo. Knockout, beeeotch!

The design for the flyer and the business cards will be worked on right after dinner.

We are going to take this city by storm.

I can’t wait to go to my first appointment for this thing.

Frustrations

Frustrations with my government: here. Warning: Mild adult content.

Frustrations with computers: I can’t get my Mac to see a USB printer shared on Windows 98 SE. I can’t get my Windows box to see the same USB printer shared on Mac OS 10.2.

I finally got the file sharing to work, at least. Yay for local mp3 sharing!

Vagueness

It’s now time to dispel the vagueness and mystery that many of you have seen in my journal posts.

Right around noon today, I became one of three owners of a new business, Geeks Next Door. The web page will soon be here. This is REAL work. Four days of work and the three of us now have a company.

I will be able to quit sales soon after all. I have finally taken initiative.

Plus, the Ingham County seal has a cow on it.
