I don’t understand, sometimes.

I woke up this morning with a horrible sleep headache. I stayed up for a little while, sipping OJ, nibbling on strawberries, and making some bacon. Well, it only got worse, and I was getting nauseous.

I burnt some of the bacon. I suppose it’s not a big deal, because it’s an unfamiliar stove. But it didn’t help my mood. I went back to bed, and I remember waking up a lot (I set the alarm, but my 1 hour nap became 2 + hours) and thinking over and over, like a mantra, “I want to be somewhere where the headache isn’t.”

Well, it’s mostly gone, and I’m not nauseous any more. Stuff I should do:
-Contact SBC/Ameritech to see if I can transfer my phone number online.
-Unpack more.
-Contact AT&T broadband and find out why I’m having to power cycle my cable modem every 20 goddamn minutes.
-Post about the rest of my weekend.

This flame is too heavy to carry.

Imagine a man dressed in all black, with long brown hair and steel grey eyes. Imagine him in a full-length leather trenchcoat, and imagine him as a large man who carries himself well.

Imagine him holding a torch, with a fiercely burning flame. Imagine the man dousing the torch in a bucket, and placing it, unlit, in a sconce in a roughly-hewn brick wall. Imagine a dark red stain on the handle of the torch, where the man had gripped it far too tightly.

And people beleive me when I say I’m not goth.

“You know it scares mommy when you smile.” – Something Positive

TAURUS (April 20-May 20): Are there useful generalizations you can make about people simply by knowing how old they are? Maybe a few. But in the coming week, any sweeping assumptions you make based on age will be damn lies that lead you astray. Cultivate the company, therefore, of old fogies who are at least
several years your senior and whippersnappers who’re at least several years younger. Wear clothes, listen to music, and seek adventures that are supposedly not appropriate for your generation. Fantasize about who you were as a ten-year-old and who you’ll be as an 80-year-old.

Job interview went well. I am so worried about getting my hopes up about a job that I will really, really like… They’re narrowing down the applicants to five or six, and then running a set of second interviews. I have my fingers crossed. Their salary people get time and a half for all overtime. Craziness.

Tonight, I see Reign of Fire again. This time, with Genny. :)

Finding out that many Robots in Disguse Transformers are now on clearance (to make room for the Armada series) is not a good thing for my wallet.

I need to get my living room set up in a way that roX0rs pretty soon. Hrm.

Wednesday. Rockin’.

I have a job interview on Wednesday for a PC Tech position at Ingham County. Salary with a nice raise. Fixing and inventorying computers.

Politics of a business switched for politics of county-level government. Dig it. According to , that place is fantastic to work for.

Today

Pain, releif, disappointment mixed with expectedness. Simultaneous feeling of accomplishment and temporary failure understanding the energy of rooms. Good discussion, re-inforcement of why I am friends with .

I woke up with, I think, the worst hangover I’ve ever had. Well, this happened gradually as I woke up in three-hour intervals all night (and day) long. It was noon when I realized that I was supposed to be at the movie theater at 1:55 to see Reign of Fire with . I got ready, drove to my old apartment, and left him a voice mail. I went to the theater, realized he wasn’t going to show up, and watched the movie.

Good movie. Like a glimpse into the lives of real people, with real backgrounds that they don’t have the time to explain in detail, in situations that demand that superhuman thing that rests dormant in so many of us.

Headed to Mike and Seth’s to pick up my sunglasses. I watched them play Warcraft 3 against each other while I downed 200 mg of Ibuprofin and sipped water.

Theio’s and reading. Plans for a possible Mage tabletop game. Finally started to feel better. I returned home and arranged furniture. My bedroom is almost perfect. The living room and dining area are definitely not. Went and talked with about a lot of things. I am thankful for an opinion that I cannot reason out when thinking about things. Somehow, because I can’t follow the logic behind it, credibility results. Hrm.

Now I’m home (*contented sigh*). I didn’t pick up the kitchen stuff or the TV or the microwave, like I told Scott I would. Tomorrow, then, after Kung Fu lessons. It’s not like I don’t have the opportunity to take my time on this.

Yesterday

I was incredibly hung over this afternoon when I woke up.

The moving went wonderfully, and I really want to thank everyone who helped. :) I took those that were still around to Barley’s (which DOES have good food, ) and realized the effect of dehydration on drinking alochol. Whoo.

Then my bro showed up with the couch, so I was happy about that. We hung out for a bit, and I’m really looking forward to him being in town again. After that, I went to game and proceeded to be bored.

Then was the housewarming party and Jerry and Mel’s. FAAAANtastic house. I got drunk again. *sigh* Really drunk. I remember kissing Abby (not ) and grinning while she said she’d proclaim to the list that I was a fantastic kisser.

I had missed the feeling of skin.

BTW, if you’re wondering about Busy being banned from Mel and Jerry’s house, and the fight with ChoCho, please contact them. This time, I don’t have any more info than you do.

I’ll talk about today in my next entry. Heh.
