PAR-TAY!!

I woke up a little late, but it didn’t matter. I felt good and rested. I went to pick up a cake, and picked out a 1/4 sheet cake, chocolate with chocolate frosting. Hey, I’m proud to be from a long line of chocoholics. ;)

I dropped the cake off at the potluck table, then went to my cube. Then I blinked a few times and laughed out loud. I couldn’t wipe the grin off of my face. My cube had pink and light blue balloons taped and thumbtacked to *everything*. The cube itself was cordoned off by a “Happy Birthday” banner. There was a blue balloon on the keyboard with a face drawn on it, and it was wearing my headphones.

I thanked Christie (cow-orker) profusely. Anyone that has threatened to pop a balloon has received a Christie glare, which is not something you want to be on the wrong end of. She’s got that “I’m a mom” glare down pat. Just like . :)

Maybe I shouldn’t be planning my party here at work. Heh.

Lots of unexpected guests tonight. I can’t wait. :)

After deposit, the 2 liter of Dew that I bought at the gas station ended up being 89 cents. Cheaper than a 20 oz’er out of the machine.

FYI – If you’ve never bought pop (soda/coke/hookers) in Michigan, every bottle has a 10 cent deposit on it, which you get back when you turn the bottle in for recycling. That would mean that the original price for this 2 liter of precious Nectar of the Gods was only 79 cents. And a 20 oz is $1 out of the machine, which means it’s 90 cents before deposit.

I have to put in an order to Meijer’s today to have a cake made for our department potluck tomorrow. I’m going to see if they can put an Autobot symbol on it, just to torment .

I have to check with Best Buy to see if they’ve got the shipment of my model car stereo in stock so they can replace the b0rk3n one they sold me.

I have to apologize to about missing the job fair yesterday.

Soon, I need to take my car in to Muffler Man to get the exhaust system repaired.

I feel… free… since my ritual last night.

Beltaine

I cast the circle.
I called the corners.
I called the Lord and Lady.
I summoned my life, and I spoke.

I made a spell once, for money.
It was bad, but I learned a lesson.
I made a spell once, for no money.
It was bad, but I learned a lesson.
I ask now for balance.
I know that life is not all material, and not all spiritual.
Let the heat of my passion melt the bonds of the spells tied to me.
Let balance enter my life.
I have goals, let them come to be.

I blew my life into the wind.
I let the Lord and Lady go.
I let the corners go.
I let the circle go.

Challenges

My first urge is to make a statement about my character. I figure, if you read my journal, you know a bit. And if you know me IRL, you know a lot more about my character. So stating it here is unneccessary.

I have resolved to attain that apartment.
I have resolved to get a better-paying job, with or without CoreComm.
I have resolved to ace my classes at school.
I have resolved to learn Kung Fu.

The steps neccessary for this are already being set in motion, or have already been. These goals will be met.
