It’s gonna be a boy!

Yesterday, we found out that we’ll be having a boy. I’m gonna have a son! And to answer your question, yes, we’ve picked out a name.

Cian Michael Crampton.

The first name is pronounced kee-ahn, and is an Irish name. There’s more info here.

Who was it that joked about mini-Skippys running around?

This is a heartwarming story about a cab driver and his fare. I misted up while I was reading it, and I highly recommend it.

Do the needful.

My lunch was absolutely delicious today. Peppered turkey sandwich on white bread with green olive white cheddar cheese. A cucumber, sliced, with dill veggie dip. A sugar cookie shaped like a grinning pumpkin from the apple orchard. Couldn’t have been yummier.

I had a bit of a moment today when I sat down to write. The results are over on the Google Group (here) in the Glass Crown discussion. It made me giggle a little.

Three more chapters of Steven have been uploaded to my short fiction page. Steven meets someone that remembers him, while his creations open up the book they rescued from Mount Hope Cemetary.

And now, a love poem:

Weekly Word Count

Have you ever written, and then ended up with less words than when you started?

I used to be so good at math.

I took last week and this week’s writing (Yay for writing on break!) and typed them into the Chapter 6 file. I’m back on the horse, so to speak, when it comes to The Glass Crown. I have reminders set for me – this story is not about the Guardians, damnit – and guidelines that the characters have set for me, and an outline that will constantly need to be revised as I write each chapter. The outline, which has existed since the NaNoWriMo in which I started the sequel, is still dead on for where I want to take the story.

Speaking of NaNoWriMo (segue powers, activate!), I’m debating trying it again this year. I have a new novel to start, but it would put another month-long pause on The Glass Crown. Should I do it?

Hung out with this morning, along with his daughter, Rachel. My phone decided to freeze while I was trying to bring up the camera app, go figure. I know that I thought he was crazy when he was all gung-ho about being a Dad, but it suits him incredibly well. We still tangent like crazy people (I finished two stories in three hours – I felt accomplished), but we seem to make sense to each other. Once again, I’ve been told to stop being such a damn hermit, and to hang out. Play dates aren’t just for the kids, apparently. Heh.

So that’s, what, and , and Justin, and and Val? Maybe I should actually get around to checking what’s okay with and schedule some play dates. Shocking idea.

I seem to be putting off posting more Steven, and writing a Weekly Word Count. This perplexes me, but I’m not exactly sticking the jump drive in the laptop. Huh.

I haven’t updated the Divorce Blog since before the hearing. Am I afraid of being honest with myself again? Or am I just worried about wrapping it up properly? The latter, I think.

Every time I see ‘s food photos, it makes me want to do that too. But then I realize that my food is already in my belly. Maybe keeping track of what I eat through photo-blogging it would help me conceptualize my portions and quality of food intake.

Parenting seems to involve a lot of trying to affix pattern to pattern-less situations. Like trying to find a key to a lock that you’re not sure even exists. How do you solve a problem when it’s only cause is given as “I dunno.”?

Horoscope:
TAURUS (April 20-May 20): I usually don’t have to tell you Bulls how important it is to finish what you’ve started. You are, after all, among the top three signs of the zodiac when it comes to following through. But just in case you’ve momentarily fallen under the sway of a delusion that would encourage you to escape before the resolution is fully in place, I’m here to remind you: It’s time to make the art of completion your graceful obsession.

I got to hang out with yesterday, which was good. Sometimes, you need to pretend like you’ve only got enough money for a double cheeseburger and fries. Sometimes, you’ve just got to mix the ketchup and mayo, and enjoy it like you’ve got nothing else.

I have a crap ton of tabs to close. But I’m going to post them all slow-like, to emphasize how far behind I am on, well, everything. :) I present to you My Hope, which I discovered through .

Argh.
